Fulcrum is a fitness coach you talk to. If something is wrong, confusing, or missing, write to us — a real person reads it.

Common questions

The coach won't answer

Open Settings and check which coach is selected. Apple runs on your device and needs Apple Intelligence to be available; if your device or region doesn't offer it, switch to the Fulcrum coach. There is no API key to enter and no account to create in either case.

My dashboard is empty

Nothing you haven't logged is ever shown as a zero — an empty figure means "not logged yet", deliberately. Tell the coach what you ate or how you trained and the day fills in. Steps, sleep and heart data arrive on their own once you allow Apple Health.

Apple Health numbers aren't arriving

Health access is per data type. Open Apple's Health app → your profile → Privacy & Security → Apps → Fulcrum, and check the types you want are on. Fulcrum reads far more than it writes: the only things it writes back are the nutrition you logged in conversation and drinks.

The weather strip is blank

Weather needs location. Allow it in iOS Settings → Fulcrum → Location, or in the app's own tour. Your position is used for that forecast and is not stored.

Where is my data, and how do I get it out?

Your health log stays on the device that recorded it and is never put in iCloud. Your conversation with the coach syncs through your own private iCloud account. Settings → Usage & data exports everything as one JSON file, and the same screen deletes conversations.

I have it on more than one device

What you and the coach write follows you through iCloud. Health-sensor data does not — Apple's rules keep it off iCloud — so Settings can send a copy from your phone to your Mac or iPad directly over your own Wi-Fi, encrypted, without passing through any server.

Privacy
